This course will explore anxiety, noting that anxiety in children and adolescents is an increasing concern for parents due to recent awareness. Knowing when worries are normal and when they may be related to anxiety can help parents feel more confident in responding to their children.

Dr Lyn O’Grady

Dr. Lyn O’Grady is a Community Psychologist with a particular interest in the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people, and families. Lyn’s work history has included roles within the education, health and community sectors. She has worked with parents in parenting programs and individually at the community level and in schools for over 20 years. Lyn also worked as a school psychologist in the Western Metropolitan Region of Melbourne. She has worked as a National Project Manager for the KidsMatter Project. She is currently a supervisor of Psychology Interns. Lyn has also authored a number of book chapters and journal articles in the area of children’s mental health.
